Longhorn becomes Windows Vista
Well, after much speculation, Microsoft has announced the
formal name for Longhorn: Windows Vista. Whilst Microsoft clearly hopes the name will invoke the key messages of ‘Clear’, ‘Confident’ and ‘Connected’, I always think of ‘vista’ as a vision off in the distance! Given the history of delays with the next version of Windows, perhaps they’ve got it right!
